Vocational Work Study Syllabus

Vocational Work Study is a course to prepare you for employment related experiences that will allow you to get 'on the job' training.
This course is designed to assist you in learning about the career/trade that interests you, learning the skills needed to perform, and also to develop your employment resume for future use.
You will have opportunities to research post secondary institutions that have specific programs, complete necessary document forms for applications , and begin the process to help you be ready for your post secondary life as an adult.
Each 9 weeks/semester you will be assigned a work site, and it will be treated as your employment. You receive credit for learning new skills to prepare you for the work environment. You will have a Job Coach, a mentor, who will assist in the preliminary training for you to learn how to become independent in the work site responsibilities.
Class Expectations:

Be respectful to all people , their opinions, and their business.

Be PREPARED-always. Be presentable. Wear clean clothes/uniform. Report to work on time.

Work SMARTER,not Harder.

Clock in/out from classroom, and from CHS.
GRADING:
100-90% A 80-89% B 70-79% C 60-69% D below 60% Fail
Materials:
Some work sites will require a uniform, or personal gear. You may be required to bring your own.
Transportation may be provided by special transportation.
DAILY Performance Rubric
Job Supervisor and Job Coach will evaluate your work performance weekly.
Electronic Use will not be allowed during work related tasks.
Absences
If absent because of school related issue, You will be expected to report by advance notice or by phone, to your job site supervisor. When absent from school, the job coach will report your absence.
